My research concerns the relationship
between geomorphological processes and
environmental changes. It is by nature
interdisciplinary, involving aspects of
Geology, climate, slope processes and man
activity. My interests include the
geomorphological hazards, with particular
reference to the landslides in the
Apennines area and to the man induced
subsidence in urban and coastal areas.
Current projects include: large
landslides (earth flows) in the Northern
Apennines; subsidence phenomena on the
Cervia beach ridge (Po River Plain);
Northern Apennines geomorphological
mapping; Conca River Basin environmental
studies.
